What is included in the Remote Control package?

What is the battery lifetime?
The lifetime of the battery of course heavily depends on usage patterns. For normal use, the battery should last at least one year.
Can the Remote Control be recharged?
No. The Remote Control is powered by a standard CR2030 Lithium battery, widely available in regular supermarkets, stores, etc.
What battery is used in the Remote Control?

What wireless technology is the Remote Control built upon?
The Remote Control communicates with the hearing aids using the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
Can I change battery myself, or do I need an HCP?
You can change batteries without help from an HCP. The battery compartment can be accessed by opening the battery lid using e.g. a coin. The battery is a standard CR2032 Lithium battery.
There is no on/off button on the Remote Control. Won’t it drain the battery?
No, there is no need for an on/off button since the Remote Control is totally dormant when no button is pressed. This reduces the battery drain to a minimum.
There is no button-lock on the Remote Control. Won’t I accidentally press buttons when I keep the remote e.g. in a pocket or a handbag?
During development, tests were performed to evaluate the risk of accidental button presses. The fact that the buttons are concave and requires a certain amount of force to be pressed, makes is unlikely that accidental button presses will be a problem.
This is a wireless device…shouldn’t it have a Flight Mode?
A dedicated Flight Mode is not necessary since the Remote Control is dormant and will not transmit or receive anything data at all, before it has received data from the hearing aids. The hearing aids should be in Flight Mode during flight, and subsequently the Remote Control will also be.
Are non-functional dummies available for this model?
No.
